Company Profile
Guotai Junan Futures, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Guotai Junan Securities, is a market leader and pioneer of promoting internationalization in China’s futures market. Since the inception in 2007, it has successfully transformed from a ‘brokerage oriented’ futures company to a large ‘comprehensive financial service provider’ with diversified businesses, including futures and options brokerage, futures investment consulting, asset management, risk management and OTC derivatives execution.
Guotai Junan Futures is the No. 1 full clearing member of China Financial Futures Exchange (CFFEX), and is registered as a full member of Dalian Commodity Exchange (DCE), Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE), Zhengzhou Commodity Exchange (ZCE), and Shanghai International Energy Exchange (INE).
Guotai Junan Futures has maintained ‘AA Level of A Class’ by China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) since 2018, and has earned many honors over the past decade such as ‘Top 10 Chinese Futures Company’, ‘Top Financial Institutions’ and ‘The Best Futures Product Innovation Award’. 2006
Guotai Junan Securities acquired Shanghai Perfect Futures Brokerage Co., Ltd. and renamed it Guotai Junan Futures Brokerage Co., Ltd.
2008
The name of the company was changed from "Guotai Junan Futures Brokerage Co., Ltd." to "Guotai Junan Futures Co., Ltd.".
2011
Guotai Junan Futures obtained the qualification of futures investment consulting business.
2013
The registered capital increased from 500 million to 700 million yuan. Guotai Junan Futures accomplished the 1st completed Treasury Bond Futures transaction in China Financial Futures Exchange.
2018
Trading Volume of 2-year Treasury Bond Futures reached 14.4% of the whole market at the first day of trading.
2020
The registered capital increased from 2 billion to 3 billion yuan.
2007
Guotai Junan Futures Brokerage became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Guotai Junan Securities. Guotai Junan Futures Brokerage obtained the license of financial futures brokerage business, and became one of the first futures companies in China to obtain the qualification of financial futures comprehensive settlement business.
2010
The registered capital of Guotai Junan Futures increased from 160 million yuan to 500 million yuan. Trading Volume of CSI 300 Stock Index Future in Guotai Junan Futures reached 22.86% of the whole market at the first day of trading.
2012
Guotai Junan Futures obtained the qualification of asset management business.
2015
The registered capital increased from 700 million to 1.2 billion yuan. Guotai Junan Futures accomplished the 1st Treasury Bond Futures offset Margin in CFFEX. Treasury Bond Futures trading volume reached 2.362 bn, account for 43.61% of the whole market.
2019
The registered capital increased from 1.2 billion to 2 billion yuan.
2021
The registered capital increased from 3 billion to 4 billion yuan.
